France have defeated Paraguay 1-0 to reach the World Cup quarterfinals, setting up a clash with Morocco.
Striker Kylian Mbappe scored France's winning goal in the 70th minute from the penalty spot after France wasted many chances throughout the game.
Les Blues dominated long stretches of the match, but Paraguay's defence remained rock solid until substitute Desire Doue was tripped by Diego Gomez during a run into the box.
The goal was Mbappe's seventh of the World Cup, drawing him level with Argentina's Lionel Messi as the tournament's top scorer.
After beating Paraguay, France will face Morocco for a place in the World Cup semifinals.
