Carlos Alcaraz continued his impressive comeback from injury with a straight-set victory over American 20th seed Tommy Paul to reach the US Open quarter-finals.
The 23-year-old Spaniard, playing only his fourth competitive singles match after more than four months out, produced a commanding display to beat Paul 6-4 6-3 6-4.
Alcaraz has dropped just one set at the tournament and will next face American eighth seed Ben Shelton, who defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas 6-2 6-3 6-4.
A wrist injury forced Alcaraz to miss the French Open and Wimbledon earlier this summer. His win over Paul extended his Grand Slam match-winning streak to 18.
The four-time major champion has adopted a more cautious approach in New York, prioritising recovery as he looks to avoid further problems with his wrist.
"I've been really focused on the recovery with my team, with myself, doing the right things off the court trying to be healthy and in good shape for the next round," he said.
"Those days, if I'm practising or not, I'm trying to be chill and focus on the next round. So golf this year isn't an option."
Alcaraz has won all three of his previous tour-level meetings with Shelton.
