President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has reaffirmed Türkiye's support for Niger in all areas of development.

The Turkish President held a phone conversation with Niger's leader Abdourahamane Tchiani on Monday, when he reassured the African nation.

The bilateral talks underlined plans for enhanced cooperation in energy, mining, and defence.

"President Erdogan stated that he attaches great importance to the development of relations between Türkiye and Niger," the Turkish Presidency said in an official statement on X social network.
