President Bola Tinubu don order di immediate deployment of 100,000 Compressed Natural Gas conversion kits for di next two to three weeks, so dat e go help reduce di high cost of petrol and diesel wey dey affect Nigerians.

Di Executive Chairman of di Presidential Initiative on Compressed Natural Gas, Ismaeel Ahmed, reveal dis matter on Tuesday afta im meet with di President for State House, Abuja.

Ahmed talk say di directive come as result of di war wey dey happen for Middle East, wey don make petrol and diesel prices high for global market, and e don increase transportation cost for Nigerians.

“Di President, as e dey always do, dey try to get information on wetin dey happen, especially wit di war for Middle East and di rising cost of petrol and diesel.

“Di President wan know wetin we dey do for Pi-CNG and EV to make sure say gas and CNG dey available everywhere for di country, so dat people fit pay less for transportation,” Ahmed talk.

Im also reveal say Tinubu give direct order make dem deploy di conversion kits well-well, so dat natural gas go fit replace petrol and diesel as alternative.

“So di President don give direct order say make we immediately deploy about 100,000 kits.

“We dey work wit many oda stakeholders wey go help push dis matter enter market fast-fast, and make we fit convert plenty vehicles and tricycles so dat people go fit access gas,” di Pi-CNG boss tok.

Ahmed yarn further say di deployment go start within two to three weeks, and di conversion centres go soon dey “very busy wit plenty conversion activities.”
