NAPTIP (National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons) for Nigeria don rescue and bring back 23 Nigerian youths wey dem suspect say be victims of human trafficking. Dem carry dem go Thailand go do cybercrime.

Di agency spokesperson, Vincent Adekoye, talk am for statement, he say dem do di rescue operation with Eden (Myanmar), and di British Government plus Nigerian Embassy for Bangkok help well well.

According to NAPTIP, di victims dem promise say dem go get scholarship and good job, but na scam. Dem carry dem go countries like Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia.

For there, dem force dem to do cybercrime like romance scam, cryptocurrency fraud, and fake investment.

Bello talk say dis one na new style of human trafficking. Di traffickers dey target intelligent youths wey get computer and IT skill, and even dem dey find those wey no smoke or drink.

“Dis na new kain human trafficking, wey dey target vibrant and intelligent Nigerians,” she talk.

“Di traffickers dey look for boys and girls wey get skill, especially for computer and IT, dem even prefer those wey no drink or smoke. Dem go promise dem scholarship and good work.”

She explain say as di victims reach there, dem go train dem for many scamming methods. Some dem even put for language class, especially Chinese, before dem go deploy dem as “customer care” agent online, go deceive pipo.
