Millions of Sudanese people dey face serious hardship because the civil war still dey go on, and the Turkish aid consignment na much-needed relief. The recent aid shipment wey land for Sudan on Tuesday carry foodstuff, personal care items, medical supplies, and shelter materials.

The "Goodness Ship" prepare under the coordination of the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) in cooperation with local authorities, civil society organisations, and the Qatar Fund for Development.

Big aid

When the ship set sail more than one week ago, the head of AFAD, Ali Hamza Pehlivan, talk say Türkiye dey committed to provide relief to the Sudanese people during this hard time.

Pehlivan note say earlier shipments from Türkiye deliver 5,500 tonnes of aid in 2024, plus 30,000 tents inside three vessels wey dem send in December 2025.

Pehlivan say, "Taking into account how the shelter needs of people displaced in Sudan had reached a critical level in December, we began sending goodwill ships on December 7, 2025."

"Sending three ships in a row, we tried to support the shelter needs of our brothers and sisters there," he added.

Serious conflict

In addition, Pehlivan talk say Türkiye’s humanitarian assistance to Gaza still dey continue, and say the 20th aid ship depart mid-January, with nearly 105,000 tonnes of aid don so far deliver.
