"Troops of di Joint Task Force (North East) Operation HADIN KAI don show again say dem strong and dem dey in charge of di battlefield by decisively foiling coordinated ISWAP attacks on FOBs Mayanti, Gajigana and Gajiram, while dey intensify offensive operations across Sector 2.

"Five of di terrorists die for Mayanti, three for Gajiram and two for di Gajigana attack.

"Di attacks wey dem carry out between late hours of 28 February and early hours of 1 March 2026, show say di terrorists don dey craze because dem dey under serious pressure for dia hideouts, logistics routes and leadership structures.

"While dem successfully stop di attack for Gajigana and di troops still dey in full control of dia position, di fighting for Mayanti and Gajiram make many terrorists die and military recover plenty combat equipment.

"OPHK continuous offensive operation dey deny terrorists any chance to move freely, dey force dem to run away anyhow with heavy losses."

He tok say di items wey dem recover include three PKT automatic anti-aircraft guns, two RPG-7 tubes, four AK-47 rifles, two FN rifles, three RPG bombs and plenty 7.62mm ammunition.

Uba also confirm say one officer die during di fight.

"On February 28, 2026, FOB Mayanti come under heavy attack from large number of terrorists. Di gallant soldiers hold dia ground well well despite heavy enemy fire, as reinforcements fight through ambush and IED threats to chase di attackers away."
