Before now, some miners and community people tell Daily Trust say na carbon monoxide kill dia pipo as dem dey dig underground.

Di police spokesman, SP Alabo Alfred, tok say dem collect samples of rock, soil and minerals for analysis.

E tok say dem no see any sign of explosion or explosive materials for di scene.

Di spokesman confam say 37 pipo suffocate go die, while 26 dey hospital from gas wey dem take in.

E add say di Commissioner of Police don send di Anti-Bomb Squad go find di real cause of di incident, so dem fit put measures to stop dis kind thing for future.

"Di first investigation show say di miners suffer from Lead Oxide and other gases like Sulfur and Carbon Monoxide, wey dey very poisonous for human beings, especially for place wey no get good air."
