Minister of Youth Development, Comrade Ayodele Olawande, talk say di reforms follow extensive review of NYSC, wey dem establish for 1973 to promote national unity after Nigerian Civil War.
He note say di review na joint work between Ministry of Youth Development, Ministry of Education, and Office of di Special Adviser to di President on Policy and Coordination.
According to di minister, di reforms na to reposition NYSC beyond mobilisation, make e become platform for skills development, job creation, entrepreneurship, and stronger national cohesion.
"Di goals dey straightforward. We want to build NYSC wey go pass just mobilisation.
"We dey look and work for stronger partnerships for skill development, job creation, possibilities, and national growth," Olawande talk.
He add say di traditional passing-out parade go redesign to become formal graduation ceremony to reflect di expanded training and skills acquisition programme.
