National Economic Council (NEC) don agree say dem go release N100 billion naira for repair and renovation of police training centres and other security agencies all over the country.
Dem take dis decision for the 154th NEC meeting wey hold online on Wednesday, after dem hear the report from the ad-hoc committee wey dem set up to check how the training institutions dey.
NEC still approve N2.6 billion to pay consultants wey go advise the project.
But all this money still must get President sign before dem fit release am.
For NEC meeting number 152 wey happen in October, President Tinubu don already propose big plan to renovate and upgrade the country security training centres.
Chairman of the committee, Enugu Governor Peter Mbah, talk say plenty of the centres dey for bad condition and dem need urgent repairs.
After he present the report, the chairman of NEC and Vice‑President Kashim Shettima confirm the federal government commitment to tackle the issue, and he stress say the changes suppose give direct benefit to the people.
Shettima call on state governors make dem ensure say the economic reforms for their states actually improve people life, and he emphasise say government go judge by results, not by promise.

Governor Yahaya talk say six states carry the most cases: Sokoto 23, Zamfara 9, Kebbi 7, Gombe 2, Kano 3, and Katsina 2.

NEC ask state governments to work more closely with security agencies to give protection and access to vaccination teams, especially for areas wey get security challenges.
