Nigerian Air Force (NAF) talk say dem don kill pass 40 terrorists for air strikes wey dem carry out for Azir and Musarram areas inside Borno State, and those strikes stop wetin dem plan to do against civilian communities.

For one statement wey dem release, NAF spokesman Commodore Ehimen Ejodame talk say the strikes happen on 15 and 16 January.

Ejodame talk say the planes wey dey operate under Operation Hadin Kai carry out the strikes after dem collect correct intelligence about movement of the terrorists and the threat wey dey near the communities.

E come talk say further checks show say the terrorists dey try gather again under one big tree wey close, and na that one make the air strikes succeed and kill many among dem.

The statement say: Post-strike assessment confirm say no more immediate threat again, and information from ground troops, local authorities and community sources show say the presence of the terrorists don reduce and calm don return.

On the morning of 15 January, NAF planes succeed to stop attacks for Musarram, around Tumbuns, after intelligence show say the terrorists don gather for boats to attack Baga and Fish Dam areas.
