Nigeria President Bola Ahmed Tinubu dey Turkey for state visit from January 26. This one show say Abuja and Ankara want make dia friendship strong pass before, for security matter, international matters and business.

Dem talk about many things join – from how to protect dia country, to light (energy), business, school and airplane matters. Big big people talk and dem sign agreement for many things.

Before the visit even start, Nigeria Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar, bin meet with Turkey own, Hakan Fidan for Monday.

Big people wey dey handle foreign matter, defence, inside security and intelligence follow Tinubu go. This one mean say the visit no be just for show.

E mean say dem serious to work together, and security matter dey the center.

The visit show say dem want make Nigeria and Turkey friendship grow better for all side, no be just for one small area. Nigeria side sef don talk am say dem want am so.

AlKasim Abdulkadir, wey be Special Assistant for Media and Communications Strategy for Nigeria Minister of Foreign Affairs, talk say Tinubu visit to Turkey show say Nigeria no want depend on only one country again.

"President Tinubu dey visit Turkey as Nigeria dey find new friends wey no be say we go dey depend on dem. Turkey be like strong middle power wey get im own mind - e no dey follow one group blindly and e no dey look only inside im country," Abdulkadir tell TRT Afrika.

E talk say wetin Turkey get, match wetin Nigeria need for development and security now.

"For Nigeria, Turkey get many good things join: strong factory wey fit help our own factory plan, good security power, and independent way for foreign matters. As Nigeria dey find how to make plenty things for here, build roads and make country safe, Turkey be partner wey fit do wetin dem talk, no be just to talk. This one mean say our friendship no be for just business, but for long long time," e add.

International matters together

Turkey and Nigeria don dey work together for international groups like D-8 and Organisation of Islamic Cooperation.

Turkey be member of G20 and get many friends for outside. Nigeria be big for ECOWAS and na Africa country wey get plenty people. This one make both of dem fit help each other for world matters.

Turkey way of doing things for Africa be say make everybody gain, and dem respect say country get im own right. This one dey give Nigeria chance to breathe well, as Nigeria dey careful about western way of doing things.

Both countries agree say UN Security Council need change. Turkey President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan don dey talk say "the world be bigger than five countries." Nigeria sef dey ask make Africa get better representation for UN. So dia mind meet for this matter.

Security and defence: to learn from each other

Security matter still be one of the main things wey dey connect Turkey and Nigeria. Nigeria still dey face wahala from terrorist groups like Boko Haram and ISWAP, armed people wey dey kidnap (bandits), and fight between farmers and herders.

"Turkey don get im own way to protect im country and experience to fight terrorists. So security work with dem no be just theory, e be practical," Abdulkadir talk.

So Nigeria dey learn from Turkey experience for fighting terrorism and defence industry.

"Turkey don succeed to build many things for im country - from weapons to building materials and machines. This one match wetin Nigeria want, and Turkish companies fit do am quick quick," e add.

Nigeria don begin use T-129 ATAK helicopters, drones and armoured vehicles wey dem get from Turkey. Dem sef don help Nigeria to make im naval ship, NNS ARADU, better for Turkey.

Nigeria see Turkey experience for fighting terrorism no be only as soldier matter, but as something wey dem fit learn from im system and how dem take dey do am.

Gaza and Somalia: dem think alike for foreign matters

Ankara and Abuja think similar for foreign matters - dem believe say country sovereignty, im land and international law important.

About Israel occupation of Palestine and the war for Gaza, Turkey and Nigeria condemn attack on civilians, how dem dey force people to leave dia house and how dem dey break international law.

This dia thinking still dey for Somalia matter. Both countries no gree with Israel wey recognise Somaliland. Dem warn say e fit make Somalia lose im land and cause problem for Horn of Africa.

Abdulkadir talk more say both countries dey look at world problems with similar eye.

"Nigeria and Turkey see international matters the same way - dem respect country sovereignty, im land and international law. This one dey affect how both countries dey do things for international groups."
