Nigeria goment, ASUU sign deal to finally end strike for universities

Nigerian goment and di kontri lecturers don finally agree to settle matter wey dey cause strike for universities. Dem sign agreement yesterday say dem go improve lecturer welfare, make peace, and make school calendar no dey cut again.
Minister of Education, Dr Tunji Alausa, show the agreement for Abuja. E call am "historic turning point" wey go bring back trust and better name for universities after many years of strike and wahala.
Other groups like student union (NANS), parent association (NAPTAN), and another lecturers group (CONUA) say dem happy about the agreement, but still get small fear for inside.
Alausa talk say: "This agreement na more than paper. Na sign of new trust and better change for our university system."
E thank President Bola Tinubu for taking strong step to face this problem wey don spoil universities, scatter academic calendar, and make students lose hope. "Na first time president go face this matter front-front and solve am," Alausa talk.
Goment go increase university lecturers salary by 40% from January 2026. The new salary go include money for research, journals, conferences, internet, and other things wey lecturers need to compete with abroad and make dem no leave Nigeria.
Dem also arrange nine different allowances for work wey lecturers dey do like supervise students, field work, clinical work, exams, and leadership work.
For first time for Nigeria, goment approve special allowance for professors and readers because of their big work. Professors go get N1.74 million every year (N140,000 every month) and readers go get N840,000 every year (N70,000 every month) as extra allowance.
