As dem dey speak for CERAWeek energy conference for Houston, Olalekan Ogunleye, wey be NNPC executive vice-president, talk say buyers dey look towards Nigeria more because we dey close to di main countries wey dey buy di gas, and because our gas reserves plenty well well.
“We dey right inside di market. We dey 10 sailing days away from Europe, we close to di Atlantic Basin and close to Asia,” Ogunleye talk.
“We see business opportunities on top of di fact say we get di most gas reserves for Africa.”
Ogunleye talk say demand for natural gas don show say e strong, and he add say di current tension for world no go stop am from growing.
He say NNPC don start talks to add two new LNG trains and dem dey also pursue one 12 million metric tons per annum (mtpa) LNG project, togeda with gas-based industrial hubs, so dat dem fit tap into more dan 200 trillion cubic feet of reserves wey dey Nigeria.
