Former Senate Majority Leader for Nigeria, Ali Ndume, don call on President Bola Tinubu make im urgently increase efforts to secure di release of over 400 residents of Ngoshe community for Gwoza Local Council of Borno State.

Dis pipo still dey captivity afta recent attack by insurgents wey skata dia place and kill pipo.

Di victims, mostly women and pikin, dem kidnap last month by fighters of Jama’atu Ahlis-Sunna Lidda’Awati Wal-Jihad (JAS), wey be one Boko Haram faction, during one coordinated attack wey also destroy di community, including military bases for dat area.

But di lawmaker still acknowledge say Nigerian Army don later take back Ngoshe from di insurgents and currently dey control di area.
Im note say many residents wey escape, now dey stay for Pulka, but dem eager to return home even though di place don spoil.

According to am, di displaced residents don show say dem ready to return to Ngoshe immediately, even if e mean say dem go live for temporary shelter while dem dey wait for dem to rebuild their houses.

Ndume urge di Federal Government to support wetin Borno State government don already do, as dem don set aside N100 million for di immediate rebuilding, resettlement and rehabilitation of di affected community.
