“I want to apologize to Nigerians, officially now, from me as di Minister of Power, for dis temporary problem wey don cause suffering, especially for dis dry season wen heat dey everywhere,” Adelabu tok.
“Businesses dey affected, schools dey affected, and industries dey affected. E no be our wish to find ourselves for dis kind situation, but e be say some factors wey no be our fault cause am.”
Even with di wahala, Adelabu tell Nigerians say things go soon better, and e give timeline for wen light go improve.
“I can tell you, with di committee wey we don set up, and promises from gas suppliers, and di timeline to repair di gas pipelines, from now go two weeks, we suppose start to see improvement for light. Two weeks,” Adelabu tok.
E explain say authorities don already get plans for when critical repairs go finish, including di ones for facilities wey Seplat Energy dey run, wey go help restore gas supply to power plants.
According to di minister, dem don set up one special committee to make sure gas producers dey keep to dia domestic supply promises—na problem wey don dey limit light for di country for long time.
