According to report, di refinery export about 466,000 metric tonnes of aviation fuel to Europe for June, wey beat wetin United States and oda kontris ship for dat same month.

Dis one happen as Nigeria jet fuel export to Europe reach di highest level ever since di kontri become net exporter of aviation fuel for 2024.

S&P Global Commodity Insights wey do di report say di export come as Europe jet fuel market dey drop because price don fall from di high level wey e reach during di Middle East war.

Di report show say jet fuel wey dey flow from Nigeria to Europe rise from 232,000 metric tonnes for May to 466,000 metric tonnes for June. Dis one be di highest volume wey Nigeria don export to Europe since 2024, when Dangote Refinery start to produce aviation fuel.

Di June export volume fit be about 582.5 million litres of jet fuel. If dem calculate am with N1,300 per litre wey e cost for Nigeria, di whole shipment worth about N757.25 billion.

On di oda hand, aviation fuel wey United States dey export to Europe don drop well-well for recent months. Di report show say US export fall from 818,000 metric tonnes for April to 560,000 metric tonnes for May, and come down again to 399,000 metric tonnes for June. Dat one make Nigeria be bigger supplier to Europe for dat month.

One trader wey comment on di mata say di plenty supply dey come from Dangote and US shipments. "Jet fuel too plenty for market because refineries dey produce well-well; dem push back maintenance so dem fit cash out from di high prices," di trader yarn.

"America and Dangote ship plenty volumes too. Now some shipments dey start to pass through Suez again from UAE, but we go see how tings go," e add.
