Di councillor wey represent Mussa Ward, Peter Haruna Waba, say di two people wey dem kidnap happen around 1:30 pm on Thursday while dem dey work for dia farm.
“Anoda tragedy don happen for our community. Di two farmers dem take from dia farm wey dey outside di village. Oda farmers wey dey near see wetin happen,” e talk.
Waba say di kidnappers don already contact di community and dem dey demand N7 million ransom before dem go release di victims.
“Unlike di people wey kidnap di schoolchildren wey never contact di parents or community, dis ones dey demand N7 million.
“E hard to understand how poor farmers wey dey struggle to feed dia family fit raise dat kind money,” e talk.
One resident wey no want make dem mention im name, say di victims — one man and one woman — dey plant groundnut when six armed men rush di farm and carry dem go.
E add say dem don report di matter to security people for di area, wey promise to do something.
Plenty villagers still dey fear to go back to dia farms, as dem say di continuous attacks don make some farmers abandon dia farmlands even for di peak of planting season.
