Di Media Information Officer of Operation Hadin Kai, Lt Col Sani Uba, talk say di soldiers for dat border community with Borno State repel di coordinated attack for Kukareta village along Damaturu–Maiduguri road.
Uba talk: “Di dawn attack, wey start small for midnight go tirel about 3:00 a.m., di vigilant soldiers answer dem quick sharp. Dem use wetin e call deliberate offensive-defensive action wey contain di attack and force di terrorists to run away from di community anyhow.
“During di fight, di soldiers kill plenty of di attackers, including 24 terrorists.
“As dem still dey check di battlefield, dem recover plenty arms and ammunition, including 18 AK-47 rifles, three General Purpose Machine Guns (GPMG), two PKT automatic anti-aircraft guns, three RPG tubes, two mortar tubes, four hand grenades, 18 AK-47 magazines, and plenty belted 7.62mm ammunition for PKT systems.”

Uba add say dem still dey search for more bodies and equipment along di roads wey di terrorists use run away, wey get blood stains and medical things.
