Around 79,000 Israelis left the country in 2024 — a sharp rise from the year before — amid Tel Aviv’s ongoing genocidal war on Palestine’s Gaza, according to the state’s bureau of statistics. 

The bureau did not indicate the reason for the departures, but previous Israeli media reports attributed it to escalating violence in the region.

In 2023, around 55,300 Israelis emigrated, while about 27,000 returned or moved to Israel, according to official figures.
