PKK evacuates four shelter areas in Iraq: security sources
Turkish security sources say the PKK terror group has evacuated four shelter areas in northern Iraq.

The PKK/KCK terror group has evacuated four shelter areas in northern Iraq, Turkish security sources said on Monday, describing the move as part of an ongoing process to strengthen national solidarity and advance Turkish-Kurdish relations.

The areas, Hebat, Yajik, Sabri and Sason, lie in the Baze area of the Metina region. According to a statement shared on Monday, the evacuation was completed by October 8.

The Turkish statement says the next stages will focus on social reconciliation and the reintegration of PKK members who return to Türkiye under the law.

It adds that programmes in areas including education and the economy are intended to support their integration into society.

The statement describes the evacuation as a step towards lasting domestic peace and greater regional stability.
