Di ministry mention logistics, security, printing of exam materials, technology, quality control, and oda services as some of di main reasons why dem want increase di fees.
But di Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Tunji Alausa, don direct say make dem put di proposal for hold, as e dey follow di Federal Government promise to make policies wey dey inclusive, transparent, and based on evidence.
Di ministry say dis suspension show say dem really want make sure any policy wey go affect millions of students and dia families dey carefully tink about and dey for di best interest of di country.
Dem add say di new review process go involve plenty consultations with exam bodies, state ministries of education, school owners and administrators, parents’ associations, labour unions, education stakeholders, and oda relevant partners before dem take any final decision.
