The Nigerian national team has arrived in Antalya, Türkiye, for friendly matches against Jordan and Iran.
Coaches and team officials opened the training camp on Monday and at least 21 players were confirmed to have arrived by Wednesday morning.
Originally, the tri-nation tournament was scheduled to take place in Jordan. However, due to the ongoing conflict involving Iran, the United States, and Israel, the matches were moved.
The tourist city of Antalya, located in southwestern Turkey, was chosen as the new venue for both the team’s accommodation and the matches.
While Jordan and Iran are using these matches to prepare for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Nigeria is participating despite failing to qualify for the tournament, which will be hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
