Former Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa don announce say he retire from playing for Nigeria national team.
The well known player wey now dey 33 years old announce the decision for him X page on Wednesday, 17 December 2025.
For the message im write, im talk say, “After plenty thinking, I don decide to retire from international football, wey mark the end of 15 years wey I don dey play for Super Eagles.”
E add say e don serve the national team for 15 years with pride. Since e be 17, e dey always answer every call wey dem make, na why e be the player wey don represent Nigeria pass — 111 caps.

From when im young, Ahmed Musa first get call for the Nigeria U17 side, later im play for the U23s, before dem call am join the senior Super Eagles.
Since 2010 wey e join the senior team, im don score 16 goals and don make 111 appearances — achievement wey im dey proud of.
For 2013 im dey the team wey win the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), and im still don lead the team as captain for some time.
Dem don award am MON and OON two times for the service wey im render with Super Eagles.
Right now im still dey play for Kano Pillars for Kano State, and im become chairman of the club management board for the year 2025.
