Dis request follow talks about how plane ticket prices don dey rise. However, the lawmakers reject the proposal to give subsidy for air tickets.
On Tuesday, the Senate summon Nigeria's Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, and other stakeholders to discuss the rise in airfares.
Senator Buhari Abdulfatai from Oyo State, wey lead the discussion, tell the senators say Nigerians dey complain about the increase in domestic flight prices these past months.
Abdulfatai say one ticket from Abuja to Lagos now dey cost between N400,000 and N600,000, money wey many people no fit pay.
"We gats invite the stakeholders from the airlines make dem sit down, discuss and find where the problem dey. We need to take urgent steps before the festive season," he said during the sitting of the senate.
Other lawmakers, including Senator Adamu Aliero, express the same view.
Aliero say the price hike no acceptable, while Senator Onyekachi Nwebonyi condemn the rise wey im call 400% increase wey dem never see before.
