Chairperson for Sudan Transitional Sovereignty Council, Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, thank Türkiye for the support wey dem dey give Sudan people and praise the close relationship wey dey between the two countries.

For the Sudan Embassy building for Ankara, Turkey capital, on Saturday evening, Burhan talk say im come to thank President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, him government and the people of Türkiye for stand by Sudan 'wey dem no dey hypocritical about nor dey pretend'.

Im talk say the relationship between the two countries na one 'wey get long history and brotherly bond'.

Burhan add say the things wey dey happen now for Sudan don show how firm this relationship be, and say e fit serve as example for strategic relations, especially during hard times.

How Sudan dey important for Türkiye

Burhan talk say, 'The whole world follow President Erdogan statements about Sudan with respect,' and im note say the Turkish president don make more than three statements about Sudan inside one week, 'wey show how Sudan dey important for Türkiye'.

Last Thursday, Erdogan and Burhan yan about bilateral relations plus regional and international developments for the Presidential Complex for Ankara.

Burhan promise to make e easy for aid from Turkish Red Crescent to enter Sudan and talk say dem ready to provide warehouses for the aid.

'About health cooperation, we thank Turkish Red Crescent for their support, and we go do wetin necessary to make their work easy,' he add.

Big destructive conflict

Burhan talk say e wan make Türkiye join the international Quad mechanism, wey dey consist of the US, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and the United Arab Emirates, and the aim na to support efforts to finish the war and restore peace and stability for Sudan.

For September 2025, the Quad propose plan wey call for three-month humanitarian ceasefire for Sudan, wey go open road for permanent end to the war and a nine-month inclusive transitional process wey go lead to a civilian-led government.

The conflict between the Sudanese army and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces, wey start April 2023, don kill thousands of people and don make millions of others comot their homes.
